This week Tanner Thomas, Phil Russo, and Autumn Martin interviewed two of the wonderful lunch ladies here at Bishop McCort. We asked Mrs. Sweeney and Mrs. Pollino questions regarding their job.

What is your favorite part about your job?

Sweeney answered, “I love seeing the young adults and I feel like everyone’s mom.”

Pollino answered, “I love interacting with the students and seeing all the young adults grow throughout high school.”

What is your favorite dish to make?

Sweeney answered, “Stromboli and or stuffed chicken breast.”

Pollino answered, “Mashed potato bowl!”

Do you have any daily routines?

Sweeney answered, “Yes, my whole day is a routine of prepping the food and getting the kitchen ready.”

Pollino answered, “Yes, I check the temperatures and prepare the food!”

In conclusion, the lunch ladies do a lot for the school and are not recognized for as much work as they put in every day. They are wonderful ladies and make this cafeteria go round.
