On March 5, 2018, the PIAA spring sports season officially started. Although basketball and hockey playoff bids are still going on, practice for spring sports are underway. Boys tennis, baseball, softball, and track are now beginning their seasons. Due to the still lingering winter weather, practices have been held inside in the gym this week, but the weather has not deterred them from focusing on their season. There is high hopes for the Crusher teams competing in the spring, which hopefully will include several PIAA State championships. Baseball pitcher Brett Seitz said the following about their expectations this year, “We lost several seniors this past year, but we are excited about the incoming freshman players. It’ll be tough to get back to the State Championship for the third year in a row, but I think we can do it.  I’m looking forward to my senior year.” On behalf of the McCort Mirror, good luck to all McCort spring teams.
